 Impact Music Studio is located in Afton, NY, just 25 minutes east of the city of Binghamton, or 30 minutes west of the city of Oneonta, off of Route 88.
When the foundations for the studio were laid, we determined that we wanted to build it right, and so we invested many hours into the design and the construction process. To give you an idea, our live room is 12 feet deep by 22 feet wide. The walls and the ceilings are a foot thick, and non-parallel with each other. This provides the beautiful acoustics that are heard in all of our recordings. So whether we're recording an acoustic guitar, vocals, drums, etc.., your music will always feel alive.
Our control room was constructed in the same manner as the live room. It makes for beautiful and isolated listening which is important when it comes to hearing details, and making quality mixes. The control room is also fitted with a large four foot insulated window and a room microphone to provide both visual and audio communication with the artists.
